King of Swing started out in 1990 as Golf Plus, building and repairing clubs in a home shop. We custom fitted clubs for family and friends and performed the repairs for the Golf Day outlet store in Chelsea, MA. many local golf courses, country clubs and driving ranges including Winthrop Golf Club, Mt. Hood Golf Club, Ferncroft Country Club and Golf Country Driving Range.
In 1992 we bought Club Crafters Golf Shop in Saugus, MA, moved to Revere, MA and opened King of Swing Golf Shop on Squire Rd. We quickly outgrew that 1100 square foot facility and in 1993 I joined the Professional Clubmakers Society.
We then moved to our American Legion Hwy location. We became the #1 clubmaker for the Harrison Shafts Long Drive Team and in 1994 was named the Harrison Clubmaker of the year. In 1993 we built one of the clubs used by Brian Pavlet to win the Remax World Long Drive Championship.
During the 1990's we built and sold clubs to over 150 courses and 50 driving ranges all over New England and Florida. In 2005 we sold the shop to try our hand at other ventures.
In 2007 Steve LeMoure, one of the founders, bought the shop back to fulfill his passion for custom fitting and building golf clubs. He is a Master Club Fitter & Master Club Builder with skills honed over 20 years in the industry.
He added one aboutGolf indoor golf simulator of which the heart of the simulator is the FlightScope launch monitor, #1 on the market. It reads swing speed, ball speed, smash factor, ball spin and launch angle.
In 2008 we moved into our new 3000 square feet facitlity in the back of the same building, added a second aboutGolf golf simulator and 2 OptiShot golf simulators and opened the new King of Swing Indoor Golf, Fitting and Learning Center.
Using the FlightScope launch monitor, King of Swing has the unparalleled ability to custom fit you for shaft flex, kick point, shaft weight, head loft and size. When fitting iron sets, we also fit for lie angle, grip size and length.
